Lynchburg, Va. — Several athletes for the University of Lynchburg men's and women's indoor track & field teams prepare to compete at final qualifier meets and improve their marks with just one week until the DIII National Championships in Rochester, N.Y. 

While the conference championships have concluded, the final qualifying lists for the National Championships are not solidified until after the weekend. The top number of athletes per event are invited to the big stage, and events do not utilize time standards.

The Hornets will send athletes to the South Region Final Qualifier in Winchester, Va. and the Tufts National Qualifier in Boston, Mass. Both meets take place on Saturday, March 8.

Following podium finishes in team standings at the 2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, Lynchburg hopes to extend the postseason and make a run at several individual titles in the final weekend.
