Men's and Women's Golf Reveal 2025 Fall Schedule

Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's and women's golf programs, along with director of golf Michael Veverka and Allen Smith, are excited to announce the 2025 fall slate of competitions.

On the men's side, the Hornets begin the fall campaign in Greensboro, N.C. for the Gate City Classic on September 15 and 16. Following will be the NCAA DIII Championship Preview in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. from September 21 through September 23. Lynchburg closes out the fall with two tournaments in October: the Tartan Invitational from the 13th through the 14th in Ligonier, Pa. and The Cardinal in Greensboro, N.C. on the 27th and 28th.

The women's squad is set to start its year with the Lynn Schweizer Invitational from August 29 through August 31 in Granville, Ohio. After that, the crew heads up to Williamstown, Mass. for the Williams Invitational from September 26 through September 28. To round out the fall, Lynchburg will compete in the Tartan Invitational from October 6 through October 8 in Farmington Pa. and the Historic Triangle Invitational from October 19 through October 21. The first three competitions that the women's team is set to take part in were also on the 2024 fall schedule. To view the results from last year for those outings, click here.

Last season, the men's team saw Eddie Coffren V earn the NCAA DIII Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award and became the first Hornet in program history to claim the individual national title. As a squad, the team took home its second straight ODAC Championship title and placed seventh overall in the NCAA Championship, the best program finish since 1980. The women's squad finished third overall in the ODAC Championship with all five of Lynchburg's performers claiming a spot within the top-20. Rising senior Lily Rowe was the top-ranked Hornet in the competition at ninth place, earning an All-ODAC First Team nod.
