Lynchburg, Va. --Â The University of Lynchburg men's and women's tennis programs and head coach
Chris Johnson have announced their schedules for the 2026 spring season, featuring a mix of nonconference contests and a full slate of Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchups.
The women's team will be the first of the two groups to compete this spring, beginning with a home competition against Hollins on Feb. 18 at Crosswhite Athletic Club. The next two outings will also take place at home as the Hornets take on Meredith on Feb. 21 and Washington and Lee on Feb. 24. Lynchburg's first road match of the season will take place at Sweet Briar on Feb. 25.
Both the men's and women's teams will travel to Hilton Head Island, S.C. over spring break for the Spring Tennis Fest from March 1 through March 6. Each squad will compete in four matches at the event. The Hornets will take on Gordon on March 5 while the other three of four matchups are to-be-determined.
After returning from South Carolina, Lynchburg's women's team will welcome Southern Virginia to E.C. Glass High School on March 14, then travel to Danville, Va. to take on ODAC foe Averett on March 15. After a brief break in the slate, the Hornets will square off against Methodist on March 26 in Fayetteville, N.C., which will serve as the final nonconference match of the season. Barring the last match of the season, the rest of the slate will be road contests against conference opponents, including Bridgewater, Roanoke, Randolph, Shenandoah, and Guilford. Lynchburg will close out the campaign with a home affair against Virginia Wesleyan on April 19 at E.C. Glass.
