Lynchburg, Va. – For the second consecutive year, the University of Lynchburg outdoor track & field teams will travel to Eastern Mennonite University to compete at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25.
The men's team will aim to clinch its sixth straight conference title, dating back to the 2021 season, while the women's team looks to maintain a podium position after finishing second at the 2025 ODAC Championships behind Washington & Lee.
In 2025, the Lynchburg men secured championship records in the 4x100-meter relay (40.96), 800-meter run (1:50.71) and 5,000-meter run (14:38.40), while the team collected 273 points to post the second-best team performance in conference history.Â
Among last season's record-breaking performers, Chasen Hunt is the lone returner for the Hornets, and the senior earned three first-place finishes at the 2026 ODAC Indoor Championships. Lamont Victoria also prepares to suit up for his first ODAC Outdoor Championships after claiming a national title at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the men's 60-meter dash (6.71).Â
On the women's side, Kacey Kelly returns as the conference record holder in the women's triple jump, while Hannah Edwards earned an ODAC individual title in the indoor 800-meter run (2:21.02). Earlier in the season, the women's 4x400-meter relay team clocked 3:50.24 to demolish the previous program record by four seconds.Â
In the most recent national poll, the Lynchburg men's team occupies sixth in Division III, while the women's team sits fifth in the South Region.
