New Orleans, La. -- The University of Lynchburg men's and women's track & field teams had 12 student-athletes selected to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic squad, announced by the USTFCCCA.
The Hornets had seven female student-athletes and five male student-athletes earn spots on the list. Along with that, the women's team as a collective were selected as an All-Academic Team.
Honored on the women's side was
Allison Bobst,
Hannah Edwards,
Margo Fox,
Kacey Kelly,
Betsy Mohnkern,
Kiara Smith, and
Rylee Turner. On the men's side,
Jacob Hodnett,
Tor Hotung-Davidsen,
Chasen Hunt,
Cooper Hurst, and
Marko Kovacevic were all honored as All-Academic athletes.
To earn a spot on the USTFCCCA All-Academic list, student-athletes must have a minimum of a 3.30 cumulative grade point average. Student-athletes must have finished the season among the top 50 individuals in theri repsective events (top 35 for relay teams) as listed on TFRRS, or competed in the indoor or outdoor national championships.Â
