The 2003 Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team brought the program to new heights with the Hornets' first Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship, going 12-5 overall and 4-2 in ODAC play.

The team defeated Roanoke, 13-10, in the conference tournament semifinal before hoisting the trophy with a thrilling 6-5 victory over Washington and Lee in overtime by means of Kevin Reinecke's game-winning goal.

The league title sent LC to the NCAA Division III tournament for the second time in program history, where the Hornets fell to Franklin & Marshall in overtime in the first round.

Five Lynchburg players -- Paul Venturella, Brandon Childs, Ryan Johnson, Reinecke, and Billy McCullouch -- earned All-America honors from the USILA that season, and Scott McAlee was named ODAC rookie of the year. The ODAC's coaches voted head coach Steve Koudelka the league's coach of the year.
