Lloyd G. Flint '41 was captain of the Lynchburg College baseball team.

After college, he joined the U.S. Army and participated in the Allied Forces' D-Day invasion of Normandy and Battle of the Bulge during World War II. Later, he was a successful contractor and founded the LG Flint Inc., building company, still prevalent in Lynchburg today. Flint was president of the board of the Lynchburg Area Development Corporation and was appointed to the Virginia Housing Development Authority. He was elected to the LC Board of Trustees in 1968 and was later chairman.

He passed away in 2007.
