Lynchburg Sports Hall of Fame
Bruce dominated in the circle and in the box throughout her entire career. She hit .319 across all four seasons with a 2.10 ERA. As the ace and a slugger for the Hornets, she helped bring Lynchburg to its first NCAA championship tournament after winning the Fayetteville Regional in 2008. Bruce and the Hornets also made the 2009 regional after a second-straight ODAC championship. She pitched to a 1.70 ERA in her first season on her way to the conference rookie of the year award and was named Lynchburg's female athlete of the year in 2009.Â
