Percy Abell '87 was a standout on the diamond for Lynchburg College and went on to lead the Hornets for many successful seasons as the head baseball coach.

Over 20 seasons, the Abell-led Lynchburg teams posted a 428-344-2 record, and the Hornets laid claim to an Old Dominion Athletic Conference title in 2012.
