Dawn Gibson Simmons '97 was a standout three-sport athlete in basketball, softball, and volleyball for Lynchburg College from 1993-1997.

She was an All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference performer in basketball and softball and ranks in the volleyball program's all-time top 10 in assists.

Simmons is currently the head softball coach at Lynchburg and has guided the Hornets to three Old Dominion Athletic Conference titles and more than 600 victories. She is the winningest softball coach in conference history and ranks in the top 20 of active Division III softball coaches.
