A key piece of the 1986 women’s lacrosse team that made an appearance in the NCAA Division III national semifinal game, Kappie Fraher was a two-time IWLCA All-American, three-time IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region honoree, and a four-time All-ODAC First-Team member. In all four of her seasons with the Hornets, Fraher contributed to the squad claiming four straight ODAC Championship titles, the first in program history in her freshman season. The defender was named a First-Team All-American in both her junior and senior seasons. In her final year with the squad, she helped her team achieve an ODAC Championship victory with a 13-10 final over Roanoke. Following was a narrow 7-5 win over Denison in the NCAA quarterfinal round. In the 1986 season, she tallied multiple games with eight interceptions and totaled double-digit goals.
