Lynchburg Sports Hall of Fame
A star first baseman for the Hornets team that tallied 32 wins - a program record at the time - Jon Crews cemented himself in the Lynchburg record books with top marks in runs batted in and doubles. He currently sits at 6th in program history for RBI in a season with 59 and has the record for most doubles in a season with 21 in his senior campaign. The 2008 ABCA First Team All-South Region honoree totaled the 5th most career doubles at Lynchburg with a total of 40. Additionally, Crews was selected to both the First Team All State and All-ODAC teams. In 2007 and 2008, the first baseman was named to the ODAC All-Tournament Team following the completion of the conference postseason, and was an All-Tournament Team member for the 2008 NCAA DIII South Regional. Throughout his collegiate career, Crews averaged .332 at the plate and got on base at a .405 clip. He totaled 161 hits and 125 RBI over his four seasons.
