Lynchburg Sports Hall of Fame
Brittany Klippstein, a Lynchburg women's soccer player from 2008 through 2011 and key member of the 2009 team that appeared in the NCAA Final Four, earned numerous accolades throughout her collegiate career, including 2011 All-State and ODAC Player of the Year and multiple All-American and All-State honors. She was named to the NSCAA and D3soccer.com All-American First Teams in 2011. Throughout her time in the Hill City, the women's soccer team won three ODAC Championships and only lost one game with her on the field. As a senior, she scored 14 goals and 7 assists, leading the team with six game-winners and a hat-trick against Emory & Henry. In her junior year, she topped the ODAC with 18 goals, 5 game-winners, and 126 shots, setting a program record with five goals in a single game against Guilford. Her sophomore season saw 9 goals scored and 7 assists, including a hat-trick against Eastern Mennonite, which earned her ODAC and Hornet Player of the Week honors. As a freshman, she contributed 11 goals and 3 assists, including five game-winners. Klippstein's consistent performances earned her First Team All-ODAC selections across her final three years and multiple All-Region and All-State recognitions.
